Approach
Alexander tweaks the training approach and methods according to the individual needs. Your training plan will be reviewed regularly to ensure that you are moving forward and toward your goals in the most efficient, effective and safe way possible. Alexander approaches each training session by carefully examining clients' training plan and mapping out the goals that need to be achieved during current session as well as the current stage of the clients' training plan.
Philosophy
Alexander believes that a strong foundation for any goal is a combination of properly designed and executed resistance training program, adequate cardiovascular training regiment and most importantly an appropriate nutritional plan. All of these factors will be discussed during your complimentary consultation, as well as throughout your training.
Style
Alexander's style could be characterized as a no nonsense Soviet sport school approach. He is masterfull at adjusting to clients' particular day-to-day needs and energy levels, as well clients' overall goals and wishes. Alexander is described by many as gentle, good humored, personable, attentive but also tough and 100% commited to your success; he doesn't believe in taking it easy day to day, training should be enjoyed, but it should happen as a result of the hard work you put in during your training.
History
Alexander has over 20 years of experience in competitive sports as both athlete and a coach. He has started out as a successfull national-level competitive cyclist and a coach in Ukraine and then a successfull competitive bodybuilder in the U.S.
Alexander is a prominent member of the Bay Area Russian community. Among other initiatives, he has started a Sports club for Russian-speaking youth in San Francisco (Dynamo SF).
Alexander has appeared in SF Guardian; Mens Fitness; Examiner; ABC primetime news cast, etc. He also publishes a regular column in the local russian language weekly magazine "Kstati". Many of Alexander's articles about adult and child fitness have been published by popular publications. Some of the articles could be found on a popular site Ezine Articles.
